Student Wellbeing Workshops
Practical, relatable stress and wellbeing education for young people
Helping young people understand stress, before it takes hold.
Stress is something most young people will experience, but very few will understand.
They may not recognise what it is, what it’s doing to them, or what they can do about it.
And without that understanding, it can quietly build into something much harder to manage.
These workshops give young people the knowledge and practical tools to recognise stress early, understand its impact, and start building habits that support their long term wellbeing, not just through exam season, but throughout their lives.
At the heart of these workshops is awareness. Because when young people can recognise how they’re feeling, and understand what those feelings are telling them, they can take action.
They can make changes.
They can ask for help.
And that changes everything.
What the workshops cover
Every workshop is tailored to the group, whether that’s sixth formers, college or university students.
Sessions can be built around any of the following:
→ Understanding stress — what it actually is and why it happens
→ Recognising the signs — in themselves and others, before it escalates
→ Stress and burnout — what the difference is and why it matters
→ The impact on wellbeing — how stress affects the body and mind over time
→ Coping strategies — practical, realistic tools they can use straight away
→ Building resilience — small habits that support long term wellbeing
These workshops are interactive, honest and practical, not a lecture. Young people are encouraged to reflect, ask questions and leave with something they can actually use.
How it works
I offer both standalone workshops and series of sessions, depending on what works best for your school or college.
ONE OFF
Single Workshop
A focused, standalone session, ideal for those wanting to introduce stress and wellbeing education without a longer commitment. A great starting point to see how students respond.
.
ONGOING
Series of Sessions
A series of workshops that build on each other over time, allowing students to go deeper, reflect between sessions and embed what they’ve learned into their everyday lives.
All workshops are delivered in person across Cumbria and the surrounding area.
A little bit about me
I’m Jen, a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach based in West Cumbria, specialising in stress, overwhelm and burnout.
My passion for this work comes directly from my own experience. For years I didn’t realise I was stressed, and by the time I did, it had already taken a significant toll on my health, my relationships and my career.
What I’ve learned through my journey of overcoming stress and burnout, and through my training and work as a coach, is that awareness is everything
When we understand what stress is, what it feels like and what it does to us, we can do something about it. Without that awareness, it quietly takes hold.
That’s what I bring into every session – not just theory, but real understanding. It comes from someone who has been there.
That’s why I feel so strongly about bringing this into educational settings.
Young people face enormous pressure — exam stress, academic demands, the weight of expectations — which can cause anxiety, knock their confidence and leave them feeling overwhelmed. Having the tools to recognise and manage that pressure early makes a real difference
But the benefits go far beyond exam season.
Understanding stress, knowing the signs and having practical coping strategies are life skills that will serve young people well into their careers, their relationships and their adult lives. The earlier that awareness begins, the better equipped they are for everything that comes after.
